IntroductionMicrosoft PowerPoint is an audiovisual program that you can use to present course notes, outlines, information, etc. to your classes. In PowerPoint, you create slides that are organized into a presentation. This lesson will teach you how to create a presentation, including:
You will learn various methods for making your presentation available on a Web site. These last two considerations are addresses by default when using Wizards and Templates. Unless you change the default fonts, you should be OK. Creating a PresentationThere are four ways to create a presentaion in PowerPoint: AutoContent Wizard; Template; Blank Presentaion; and Design Templates. The AutoContent Wizard asks you a series of questions about the purposes of the presentaion, what you want to communicate, and how it will be presented. Based on the answers you give, it chooses a graphic design for the slides and provides generic headings and text. Templates give you the same results as the AutoContent Wizard, but in a shorter amount of time. It doesn\'t ask you any questions, so you have to choose a graphic design on your own from a variety of PowerPoint design options. Additionally, with a Blank Presentation, you add your textual content one slide at a time. You can also create a presentaion using Design Templates. These are similar to Templates in that they give you a consistent design, but they contain no content, i.e., you design the graphical identity as a template and add content one slide at a time.
